What We Do

We are a New Mexico-based, employee-owned small business founded in 1998 with the goal of working to positively impact the planet. We provide high-quality technical consulting services to public and private sector clients. Our team includes engineers, scientists, social scientists, communications and outreach specialists, and economic development analysts.

We help clients in the government and private sectors fund, plan, and execute their projects with attention to time and budget.

Amy Brown

Amy serves as Adelante’s Chief Operating Officer and also manages government projects. She works with local governments to fight climate change, protect the environment and create jobs. Before joining Adelante, Amy was an executive municipal manager and in private legal practice for several years.

Jordan Clancy

Jordan serves as Adelante’s President and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Adelante, Jordan was an executive at several privately-held energy-focused companies with footprints in California, Texas, Colorado and New Mexico.

Rachel Cowan

Rachel works with environmental databases and provides editorial and writing capabilities for numerous reports, compliance documents, and proposals. Rachel has experience as an educator, project manager, geologist, and chemist in Texas, New Mexico, and California.

Joe English

Joe is a registered civil engineer in New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington, with over 35 years of experience in environmental restoration, regulatory compliance, and waste management projects. He has managed and executed environmental projects for clients in both the public and private sectors and has experience working under a variety of regulatory programs. His experience includes providing technical and policy support to federal environmental management programs, performing environmental audits and assessments at both federal sites and private industrial facilities, managing remedial investigation and feasibility studies at multiple sites identified as priorities by the Environmental Protection Agency, regulatory compliance include permit applications and closure plans for multiple federal sites, and managing environmental restoration technical support activities. Joe served as Deputy Program Manager for a multi-year, multi-million-dollar, task-order contract to provide technical support to the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Environmental Restoration (ER) project during its initial stages. In that role, he provided program management support, prepared task proposals and cost estimates, planned resources, and served as a point of contact for the client. Joe currently serves as Program Manager for Adelante’s environmental remediation contracts associated with LANL and the Department of Energy.

Anne Garnett

Anne joined Adelante in January 2015. She is the senior technical writer/editor on the Regulatory Documentation Team, supporting the legacy waste cleanup effort at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Anne has nearly 40 years experience working as a technical writer/editor in California and Los Alamos.

Nathan Knoche

Nathan works as a senior environmental scientist writing and editing reports, websites, and managing data. Nathan has worked in the environmental arena since 1990 and has investigated and remediated sites for both private and government entities from ma and pa gas stations to Fortune 500 companies and military and government installations with multi-year campaigns. Since 2002 work has primarily been in support of the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in New Mexico which has encompassed regulatory record management, data stewardship, surface water quality reporting, plan and report editing and writing, and website testing, development, and maintenance.

Paul Mark

Paul has more than 30 years of environmental systems and process experience. His environmental systems experience includes developing project management plans, quality assurance project plans, analytical data validation standard operating procedures, and environmental database development.

Maxine Paul

Maxine leads development at Adelante. For the last 15 years she has worked to build organizational capacity to mitigate pollution in New Mexico. She has won over $10M in climate, renewable energy, and environmental funding for New Mexican communities. Maxine has managed dozens of projects including greenhouse gas inventories, air quality monitoring, zero emission fleet analysis, formerly used defense site clean-ups, and climate action planning.

Before coming to Adelante, Maxine built the Environmental Division at the Pueblo of Santa Ana. She has volunteered on the New Mexico Recycling and Illegal Dumping Grant Board, the National Tribal Air Association Executive Committee, and the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Air Quality Control Board.

Tyson Wood

Tyson is a seasoned environmental scientist and project manager at Adelante, specializing in data management and presentation. His background as a foreman in the construction industry in New Mexico ensures projects are realistic, flexible and appropriate to suit unique local needs.

Samantha Valentine

Samantha works as an Environmental Scientist at Adelante, specializing in GHG accounting, GIS and database management. Prior to joining Adelante, she worked in radiation detection and control at sites across the country. Samantha has experience in geology, hydrology, international relations and environmental restoration.

Brianna Green

Brianna works as an environmental scientist providing data management and visualization. These experiences equipped her with skills in advanced data analysis and visualization techniques to inform data-driven decision-making.

Eric Christensen

Eric serves as a Project Manager and manages the New Mexico C-PACE program. Before joining Adelante, Eric worked in both the public and non-profit sector in Canada for 10 years.
