In 2018 Adelante partnered with the New Mexico Energy Mining and Natural Resources Department to analyze the suitability of developing a biomass to energy production facility in North Eastern or North Central, New Mexico.

The report titled North Eastern and North Central New Mexico Wood Biomass Electric Generating and Biochar Production Facility: Feasibility Assessment and Business Model provides an in-depth look at feedstock supply, transmission infrastructure, regional electricity demand and energy provider needs.  In addition to identifying suitable biomass to energy technologies, assessing the market for biochar, and providing a business plan for developing a 10MW facility alongside general recommendations.

Adelante is the only consultant in New Mexico to develop two biomass utilization assessments and we have a long history of working with tribal, federal and private agencies to identify and implement novel uses for biomass resources.
